Working on DDR2/Receiver logic and attending a conference in Tampa Florida

Now we need to push real HMDI traffic through Packetizer and Ethernet. I am reading up and learning about DDR2 in my time that i have from attending ISVLSI conference in Tampa, Florida. The other thing that can be done before this and perhaps should be done before DDR2 integration is regenerate the image on the receiver side using VLC or may be GStreamer. This will be done prior to integrating DDR2.

This will be continue on the weekend and next week until get done. Since i am traveling back home, you may not see Friday's blog.

Please tolerate that :)

  1. The DDR interface is outside the scope of this project, unless you use the existing image buffer in the HDMI2USB framework (which should be doable).
    I would suggest the following:

    1. color bar generator (baby step past the incrementing values)
    2. stream HDMI, minimal buffering.

IIRC given the calculations from the proposal gigabit should
be able to sustain a lower-resolution. And that was all you
proposed to support. If the out rate is greater or equal to the
in rate (considering overhead) you should be able to stream
    with minimal buffering.
